Drywall types and thickness all depends on where you are using them. The typical thickness in 1/2". I use this on walls and ceilings. If there are enough helpers 4' x 10' can go quickly but with it being longer than 4' x 8' it can be more labor intensive. If you are installing the drywall in a bathroom or where moisture is present you want to make sure you use green boards. They are more moisture and mildew resistant. Some people use drywall in showers where tile will be used but I prefer to use hardi boards. I hope this was helpful.
