Im very interested in your thoughts on this. Im sure there is such as thing. But, honestly, ive never seen one. Islands have been a trend in kitchens for quite some time, so im not shocked they have spilled over to baths.
I think with the right layout it could work. To do so, and make it work, you would need special products and special designs. You would have to find a way to have something to place your towels on, unless it was built in to the cabinetry.
Also, what about a mirror? I know there are roll-around standing mirrors, which could be a possibility. Other than bath accessories, there really are no limitations assuming your plumbing is ok. Hopefully, placement could put you in distance to a drain line and vent stack?
Im very interested, I thought over time this desire might come up, and I am sure others have done similar. However, I think with careful planning, it could be accomplished. Just be ware, from a resale value aspect, be sure your confident you will be in your home for a while.
