Q: Bathroom NIGHTMARE!!
I had rented out a house to tenants who practically destroyed the property. They left the toilet completely clogged and when they could no longer use the toilet they began using the bathtub as their toilet. (DISGUSTING) There is only one bathroom in this place. So now I have dried solid human waste in the toilet and liquid and dried solid human waste in the bathtub. Plus, apparently they were not paying their water bill and the water has been shut off in the building.

I would like to know what has to be done to make this bathroom usable for human beings again and approximately what the cost may be.

The best advice I could give you is to find a plumber or clean out company looking for work. I would remove the entire toilet and throw it out. If the inside of the toilet is that gross I could only imagine what the outside looks like. Once the toilet is removed, the sewer line can be snaked if necessary. A new toilet installed is usually around $500, But your going to probably pay a premium because of the mess.
The tub on the other hand, may not be as easy or cheap. If the tub is a fiberglass unit or a free standing tub, have it pulled and replace the trap and over flow.
If the tub has tile around it, its alot more work to pull it and fix the damage. You could find a company that specializes in this type of clean up and get a cost for that. I kind of have the feeling your going to have to just bite the bullet and have that replaced too.
Sorry for your situation. Hope this was able to help you.
