Q: Shower panel or no?

Hi,

I'm remodeling my bathroom and am ready to start on shower plumbing. I'm tempted to use a shower panel such as this on from signature hardware - http://www.signaturehardware.com/product15537 But I can't find much feedback on people using shower panels / towers.

Do people like them? Are they are total fad that will date the bathroom in 5 years? Will people point and laugh?
