Q: Where can I use wainscoting?
I think that wainscoting really makes a room feel like home. Which areas are the best to put wainscoting in? If it were up to me, I would have it all over the house, but I am not sure if this is appropriate.

Wainscoting is typically put in bathrooms and dining rooms, but it can go in living rooms and bedrooms as well. Remember that wainscoating is essentially paneling that doesn't go all the way to the ceiling. It typically is 30 to 48 inches high, or goes 1/3 or 2/3 up the wall. It is fine to vary the height of the wainscoting, eg. 36" in bathrooms and dining room and 2/3 in living room and bedrooms.
