Q: Would love to have an exposed brick wall inside my house. Can you add a brick facade to an interior wall?
I assume that you can. Is this easy to do? How much would it cost to build a faux brick interior wall? I would want to use real brick (or thin facade bricks). Any special concerns? Is this something that contractors/designers do or is this idea sort of out there? Thanks.

Orlando, FLA: Easy brick fix.
Yes, you can easily add face brick (thin facade brick) to a drywall wall. It is as easy as putting tile on a wall and is installed in the same way. I would suggest calling a tile company or a mason with experience and check their references. After you find your contractor check your local brick yards, they will have different colors and styles of face brick to use. Hope this was helpful.

Corona, CAA: Brick Facade is IN!
Yes it can be done. You do want a pro to do it, though. This might be out of the skill set for regular DIYers. As for cost, that would be pertinent to your locale and the contractors rates. Get a few bids.
As for the idea being out there. Heck no! This has become a very popular trend in model homes. You really get a great bang for the buck when this is installed. Also, consider unique tiles that have some dimension to them as well. I would love to see this in more homes, personally.
