Q: Are there issues or problems with using reclaimed wood for flooring?
Also, do you need to use a special flooring contractor if you want to use reclaimed wood?

San Diego, CAA: Reclaimed Wood Floors
The main issue with reclaimed wood flooring is that there is a larger waste factor in comparison with new wood flooring. Each plank of wood varies greatly from one to the next. Planks can contain large knots and other natural variants that may cause some planks to be unusable when being installed. It is because of these natural variants, however, that reclaimed wood is such a beautiful and desired product.

I would not suggest you to, my uncle had used some in his farmhouse and it was a disaster. That said if the wood is in good shape its up to you, as my uncle unfortunately wasn't a good judge then. Hope it helps
