Q: Do we need to install a dishwasher in a small kitchen and sacrifice cabinet space?
We are getting ready to update our kitchen in a house we will be living in for only 3 more years. The kitchen cabinet space is 10X8, very limited. We are installing New cabinets and granite counter tops. We do not have a dishwasher. Should we sacrifice cabinet space and install one or forgo the dishwasher? What is better for selling?

A: Life without a dishwasher?
Three years is a long time to live with or without a dishwasher because you "might" be selling. I don't foresee sales prices improving anytime soon. So I would ask yourself - do you eat in? If yes dishes will sit on your counter in the drying rack or in the dishwasher. Can storage be found outside of the kitchen in order to sneak in a dishwasher?
Your realtor will say a dishwasher is a must -- but what is that you need?

Pittsburgh, PAA: Compact Appliances
There are compact appliances are available in market, you should buy them instead of sacrificing the convenience of using dishwasher. Compact appliance consume very less space and has multiple uses as well.
