Q: Can a 220 volt outlet be easily added if my house doesn't have one?
We don't have a 220 volt outlet for an electric dryer. Can this be easily added to my house? Or does it require a major change to the wiring? Or can some houses not have these outlets period?

It shouldn't be too much. I doubt 600 like the previous poster said. You will basically be taking two of your 110v spaces in the meter box and send both to one outlet to get the 220v. So he will only have to run one wire from the panel to the laundry room.
