Q: What is the best kind of table saw to use for everyday household projects?
I like to consider myself to be a handyman around the house. I have an old table saw that was passed down to me from my father, which has served me well over the years. However, it is time for an upgrade. What is the best kind of saw to use for everyday household projects?
I have a Ryobi 'contractors' tablesaw, and I love it. It has a 30" rip capacity and you can fold up the legs, wheel it away and store it in a small volume. It also has a decent miter gauge. I was skeptical that a lower end 'bargain' brand would do a good job until used a friend's Ryobi and I went out and bought one for myself.
There's cheaper tablesaws out there, as well as more expensive ones, but this one is a good value for the money. I recommend it.
