Q: What is the most affordable upgrade that can add value to your home?
My parents are planning on selling their home. We'd like to help them maximize their value, while not paying for any major remodels. What are the home improvements that have the highest bang for the buck? I'd be interested in hearing the two or three most affordable options. Thanks!

Consider selling points when you would look for a home- you would take note of any heating/cooling amenities depending on your area. So my first suggestion would be that, if the home doesn't already have it, an air conditioning addition can add a good amount of value, or ceiling fans in most rooms.
A second recommendation would be to upgrade your flooring. This is an easy way to make a space look years newer and more up-to-date, and flooring choices such as hardwood & natural stone add real value to a house.

Custom Home Theater LLC
Sharpsburg, GAA: Affordable upgrade options to increase the value of your home
We have been asked this question numerous occasions. Our answer is, finish off an area in your home that functions as a media room, family gathering area, and an electronic babysitter.
I'll touch on a few key points:
* A dedicated room for watching the big game or favorite movie
-- This area can be finished with electronics and basic accoutrement for as little as $6,000.00
-- Technology is always a selling point when prospective buyers see your home
--You will get years of enjoyment and spend quality "family time" with your upgrade
--Upgrades are simple for new owners to do years down the road if necessary.
--What ever you spend on your media room now, you can add that amount to the sales price of your home or use it as a bargaining chip.
