Q: Are there special concerns for a pregnant woman whose home is under construction or is being remodeled?
Hello, my wife is pregnant and we are about to do some remodeling in our home. We're going to fix up a nursery (painting, new carpet, built in changing station) and we're going to re-do our kitchen. Are there phases of these projects where my wife should be particularly careful about avoiding the area or perhaps even staying elsewhere? Are there particular materials we should or should not use given that my wife is pregnant? Any thoughts or advice from contractors or homeowners would be great. Thanks for the help!

A: No Lead!
How old is the house? If there's any chance you'll run into lead paint and related dust, she hadn't ought to be there

It doesn't mean it does have lead! I would have tested by a certified test company. They normally leave you with a detailed spread sheet report. Check out the EPA website for more info. http://www.epa.gov/lead/
