Q: Can you still get loans for remodeling your house?
Can you still get loans for remodeling? Or have banks stopped issuing this sort of loan? If banks are still issuing loans for remodels, what sort of information should I have on hand when I go talk to my bank. Thanks!

Livonia, MIA: We offer financing through Wells Fargo.
We offer financing through Wells Fargo. They have different programs including some 0% . We have had some jobs finance over $20,000. 00. I believe GE also has home improvement financing.
Not sure if there is a data base of Contractors using these companies but if they offer normally they will state in there advertising.
We have had multiple customers come back for additional work and used the financing again.

Greenwood, INA: Financing
It depends on the scope/cost of the work. Home improvment financing, Heloc, etc may make sense for some cases, especially smaller projects such as exterior makeovers, kitchens and baths. For large projects, we typically recommend seeking a lender that specializes and has experience in dealing with construction loans. These lenders typically know how to factor in the value of a home with the proposed work complete.
