Q: What are some tall, fast growing shrubs?
My wife and I have lived in our house for 30 years. We previously had a tall wall of shrubs and bamboo separating our house from our neighbors. This wall took 30 years to grow and was not unsightly by any stretch of the imagination. Recently, a new neighbor moved in and had a work crew remove all this greenery. Our new neighbor has planted some ficus trees on his side. We would like to plant something on our side as well - we can literally see into our new neighbors' family room. Any advice on fast growing, tall greenery. Thanks.

Unfortunately fast growing and greenery aren't a great pair. I would suggest some low growing trees that are age appropriate in a sense of height. Depending on location (sun/shade etc.) Crape Myrtles or Japanese Maples are attractive and easy to maintiain.
