Q: What are the downsides to having shades or blinds between the glass on sliding glass doors?
I recently saw some Pella sliding glass patio doors with blinds/shades between the glass. Really neat. Seems really convenient. Are there downsides to this configuration? What do you do if there is a problem with the shades? How frequently does that happen? Do people recommend these doors or not? If people have had good experiences with these doors, I think I'd definitely be interested in purchasing one. Thanks.
