Q: What options do I have for dead patches in my lawn?
My back lawn is for the most part very green but I have about 3 or 4 patches that are ugly and brown. Any ideas.

You have a couple of options here. Depending on the size of the patch I would suggest two options. If the patch is less then ten square feet I would suggest dethatching the area, dress with some nursery mix top soil and drop some seed. This will take awhile to grow in but looks great once it does. If the area is larger than ten square feet or your looking for a quick fix I would say cut the patches out completely in a rectangular shape, dress with top soil and throw some sod over the area.
