Q: Is TimberTech more slippery than painted wood decking?

All TimberTech products have a woodgrain in their surface.
This grain not only helps the prodduct to look more realistic, but it aids in traction as well.
Many alternative decking products are skid-resistant in both directions- where wood is only skid-resistant against the grain, not with it.
As a general rule of thumb, the more smooth the surface- and the more plastic... the more potential for a slippery surface.
Oh, and of course, if it's covered in ice... anything becomes slippery!
