Q: What's the most durable and most real looking of the composite decking materials?

This is a tough one to answer- mostly because everyone has a different personal taste in color & style.
Here are a few simple thoughts though, that might help:
Consider a PVC decking. These are "all plastic" so there is little to wear or break down.
Also consider a capped composite... this is more of a standard composite, but with a tough external shell- such as Fiberon Horizon or Trex Transcend.

Remember, you'll want as much plastic on the surface as possible for durability. However color, finish, and pattern will speak to each person differently, so you'll want to examine several options.
