Q: Haven't replaced my gutters in years. Any reason to replace them now, such as innovation in gutter design or technology?
Bottom line: are gutters any better now than they were 15 years ago? Thanks.

Id say as long as they have been kept clean, have no dents, etc, adequately catch all water from the roof and drain properly at least 8-10 ft away from the house, i find no reason to replace them.
Most homes around here now use 6" wide aluminum gutters with 3x4 downspouts. Yours may be smaller but as long as they do the job id leave them be.
Today, there are options such as leaf guards, etc. which in some locations makes sense. They are very expensive though, running almost the same cost per ft. of the gutters themselves.
